If you have a claim, please take the following steps:

  1. Safety first! Don’t do anything to put yourself or your family/employees at risk of injury.
  2. Take the necessary steps to prevent further damage. Temporary repairs are part of a covered claim.
  3. Pictures are always helpful.
  4. Notify our agency. With the exception of Worker’s Comp claims, please report your claim to our agency and allow us to report it to the company. We will verify coverage, limits, and deductibles to avoid delays. Reporting to us from the beginning will permit us to stay informed so we can help you if things aren’t going exactly as you hoped.
  5. Secure estimates from an insured contractor or body shop.

Vehicle Accident?

Do not move your vehicle unless directed to do so by authorities or for safety reasons. Take pictures with your cell phone if possible. Look around for witnesses, and get their name and phone number. Get as much information from the other driver as possible. Name, phone, Insurance Company, Policy Number, Agent’s Name and phone number. This will be on the police report, but it might not be available for a week.

Water Damage Claim?

Take the necessary steps to prevent further damage. Do NOT throw anything away until the adjuster has a chance to see it. We recommend using a professional to clean up water damage. They have fans and chemicals to deodorize and sanitize, and they know what the Insurance companies will pay. Keep in mind MOLD is EXCLUDED! It’s important to get moisture out of the drywall and other areas that may not be visible so you don’t have a worse problem later.

Worker’s Comp Claim?

It is important to report your First Report of Injury within 24 hours of the incident. Please call your claim in to the Toll Free Number on your policy. Make sure you have the employee’s records before you call as they will need to know their rate of pay and work schedule. Prompt claim reporting results in a higher rate of employees returning to work faster.
